here comes the bride…

I had to wait until after the wedding to post these beauties, and as you can imagine I’ve been very anxious to share them.  This bride and her family are like my own family, so I’ll save myself the waterworks and let the pictures do the talking. Tiffany, it seems like last Wednesday that we were at Camille’s, talking about your college plans. Look at you now!! I know everyone will agree: you are all grown up and absolutely beautiful.

See the Love {destin beach photos}

It was my privilege to photograph this family.  Not just because they were a blast to work with, but Carol here just happens to have been voted America’s Most Deserving Mom by Northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast.  Wow!! Watching her interact with her family and her precious little boy, it takes about 5 seconds to realize how deserving she really is.  What a great family! I’m so glad to have been able to be a part of their Destin vacation, and I’m so excited to share these amazing pictures.  You can just see the love!

One Big Happy Family {destin family portraits}

So if, as they say, there really is strength in numbers then this family’s all set! Ok, Ok technically there were a few non-family significant others present, but still their numbers were impressive!   I was definitely outnumbered, but we still had a blast shooting on the beautiful Destin beaches.  And while the group shots are amazing (look out, I may post a few of those later), I’m a big fan of some of these smaller groupings.  They have the same comfortable, personal feel that I love to capture in smaller shoots. Yay for sandy toes! So much fun!

Boys will be Boys {30A photographer}

The camera loooves these guys, so I had to post a few more from our Memorial Day Weekend shoot.  Everyone had a blast stomping around in the water and digging up stuff.  Those snails have never had so much fun!

The fact that Jack is making that “blue steel” face {completely unprompted} makes this picture so much better! Check the website soon for more of these handsome fellas on their slideshow.

At The Seashore

Well, not really. Technically we did this photo shoot on the bay side, but you’d never know it with the sandy shores and the beautiful sea oats.  This Memorial Day Weekend shoot was so much fun…and how could it not be with so many people to keep me busy?! There were 12 in all, but the kids completely stole the show, of course.  I decided to share some of these vintage-inspired portraits that would say “summertime” if they could talk.  Sit back and remember those lazy afternoons and summer reading lists as you check out these little bitty rock stars, who help us remember what summer’s all about……sunburns. Kidding, Kidding, no burns here, just sun kissed cheeks and maybe a red eye or two from the chlorine and salt water. Nothing a little photoshop can’t cure. Enjoy the pics {and don’t forget to like sarafina photography on facebook, where I will no doubt be posting more from this fabulous shoot}

White & Khaki:No Way Jose

I love these!! I’m so happy to have more proof that white and khaki are not required for beach photos. I looove the way the denim pops in the pictures.  This was a great family to work with and we had a blast at their shoot on the beach in Destin.   Between adorable baby Luke and my excitement over the denim it was almost impossible for me to choose which of these to post!! I love it when that happens.  I finally narrowed it down and put some of my faves below, but check the website soon for more from this beautiful family’s photo shoot.

Off With Their Heads! {santa rosa beach portraits}

Sometimes I feel like the Red Queen of Photography. Turns out, some of my favorite images end up being the ones without heads. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love to see smiling faces, twinkles in eyes, mischevious grins, smooches, all of that. But in almost every shoot I do I frame up some shots where my subjects are, well, beheaded.  Who knew the ones without faces cold be so eye catching.  Take a peek.

Local Landscape 2 : Seaside

Seaside Close-ups! Some details from the picture perfect little beach town. I had to take yet another break from the portrait posts to showcase some of this good stuff.  Let me just say that I could go to seaside every day and never get tired of shooting…that is probably because my husband is always way in front of me yelling at me to catch up, so I never feel like I get my fill.  This was a quick trip, but I managed to sneak in a shot or two.  Enjoy.

Local Landscape {Santa Rosa Beach Photography}

So I was just strolling through the neighborhood yesterday and snapped a few tree pictures that came out cool. When I say a few I mean 52.  A little out of control, I know. I had to share a few of my favorites. I kind of have a thing for bark, which I think is pretty obvious here.

Wingin’ It

Once upon a time….there was a photographer who was obsessed with overlays. I mean who doesn’t love good fairy wings? Whimsy and adorable, these are perfect for kids’ portraits and add a fun Fairy Princess vibe to everything.  With Mother’s day coming up I just couldn’t resist posting some of my favorite little princesses. Above are some with a very fairy tale-ish look, including my own little fairy-winged cutie, and below you can see wing-free examples of these overlays, or photo tattoos, at work. And as always, you can see more on the website by clicking here .
